Ferran Casas is the director of the International Pyrenees Adventure Camp. In this interview Ferran answers some of your most frequently asked questions.

How many children will there be at the Camp?

About 350 to 500 at the Adventure Camp.

How many days a week are there adventure sports?

Every day from Monday to Thursday.

Can students choose the sport they want to do?

Not normally. Everybody does a different activity each day according to age and level. Of course, if a student is frightened or is unable to take part in a particular sport for another reason, he/she will be offered an alternative.

What kind of workshops are there at the Adventure Camp?

There are lots of great workshops: pottery, bracelets, origami, plastercast masks, etc.

What happens at the weekend at the Adventure Camp?

There is always lots going on at the weekend: Olympic Games on the lawn and at the swimming pools, treasure hunts, outings to nearby towns and villages, quizzes, discos, film nights, etc.

How much spending money do children need to bring with them?

Between 30 and 40 Euros per week. This will cover telephone calls, soft drinks and personal extras. The money will be given to the staff at the hotel who will distribute it daily to the student whenever he/she needs it. Otherwise the camp does not assume the responsibility for any loss.

Is there a discount for members of the same family?

Sorry, we don't offer discounts.

What happens if someone has an accident?

In the unlikely event of this happening, we would take the student immediately to the nearest medical centre to find out how serious the injury is. We would also, of course, contact the child's parent/guardian to tell them what has happened. Depending on the injury and the medical advice given, we would keep parents/guardians informed and decide with them and the doctors how to proceed. Spanish residents must take their Social Security card with them and international students must take out private medical and accident insurance. Students from the European Union should bring the European Health Insurance Card with them.

My son/daughter is a vegetarian. Is there a vegetarian menu?

Yes, we cater for vegetarians and other special needs diets.

My son/daughter wants to play tennis during his/her stay. Does he/she need to bring a tennis racket?

No, all sports equipment is provided.

I'm interested. What do I do now?

Complete the enrolment form on this page and return it to us along with a deposit of 300 Euros. We will contact you immediately to confirm your son/daughter's place in the Summer Camp.
