Teaching Methods & levels
The Lewis School's main aim is for our students to learn Spanish in a friendly, professional atmosphere. Every year students come from all over the world to learn Spanish at our school. The target language used in class is always Spanish and students learn to speak and understand from day one.
During the course special attention is given to grammar - one of the fundamentals in learning a language - but work is also done on vocabulary, comprehension and writing. We use a wide range of materials (books, authentic materials, newspapers, films, etc.) to cover all areas of the language.
The minimum age for our general Spanish courses is 16, but younger learners can attend our classes for children & teenagers and private classes.
"I think that the Spanish syllabus allows students to choose the course that best suits them (extensive, intensive, etc.) They also have the flexibility to change from one course to another as their level of Spanish and needs change. They can even choose to study (and pay!) on a week by week basis. This means that they can combine their Spanish classes with other activities..."

Why learn Spanish at The Lewis School?
"There are two really good things about the school: its size and where it is. The Lewis School is not a large school and it is in a beautiful area of Barcelona. The small size of the school means that students really get to know the staff and teachers and they get lots of personalised attention."
