Course content
We look at a different aspect of Spanish culture each day.
- Spanish social customs: a look at the Spanish way of life and how it compares with those in your own country.
- Architecture in Barcelona: Gaudí, Domènech i Muntaner, Puig i Cadafalch,etc.
 Spain's cultural diversity: The languages, gastronomy, geography and folklore of each of Spain's regions. - Spanish music: different styles.
- Flamenco: a course which looks beyond the music and dance to the culture of flamenco.
- Spanish 20 th century art: a look at a range of artistic styles; Picasso, Dalí, Miró and Tapies.
- Spanish cuisine: Ferran Adriá and the Spanish nouvelle cuisine.
- The Spanish media: Press, radio, television ,Internet.
- The Spanish Civil War: The causes, most important episodes and the many consequences of the war.
- A brief introduction to Spanish literature, from the Middle Ages to the present day.
- Spain's most popular fiestas: Fallas, San Fermín, Easter Processions, etc.
- Spanish cinema.
