Internationally recognised exams...

The use of the Spanish language is growing and it is becoming increasingly important to have an internationally recognised diploma. Whether you work or are a student, the value of speaking the Spanish language cannot be underestimated. We have developed these courses to prepare students to take the Cervantes Institute DELE exams. There are three exam sessions per year: in May, August and November.

Preparation for DELE (Diploma de español como lengua extranjera) exams

If you would like to take an exam you can choose any kind of course (private classes, extensive course, etc.) to prepare. This option depends on your level of Spanish .

Course Details:

  • Exam dates: The dates and fees are available on the Instituto Cervantes official web site.
  • Levels: Elementary-Intermediate(Diploma Inicial)-Upper-Intermediate-Advanced (Diploma Intermedio)-Advanced (Diploma Superior).
  • Minimum age: 16

What are the exams like?

The structure of all three DELE exams is similar. Each exam is divided into 5 sections:

  • Use of grammar and vocabulary: Multiple choice exercises which test grammar and vocabulary.
  • Text comprehension: Candidates answer questions on short texts.
  • Oral comprehension: Candidates complete tasks and answer questions after listening to dialogues, etc. on a cassette.
  • Writing: Candidates are asked to write a composition.
  • Oral interview: Candidates attend an interview with an oral examiner.

Candidates must pass all sections of the exam.
