Registration
fee
In order to secure a place on one of our extensive courses, a registration
fee must be paid in cash, by credit card or by cheque made out to
The Lewis School of Languages, S.L.
The registration fee is non-refundable.
How to reserve
A place will be reserved for you only on payment of the registration
fee. The Lewis School of Languages cannot guarantee availability unless
the registration fee has been paid.
Registration
fee
The school sets the registration fee at the beginning of each academic
year. There is a discount on the registration fee for students who
attended an extensive course during the previous academic year.
PAYMENT
How to pay
For the group courses running from October to June payment may be
made in 1, 9-month quota, 2, 4.5-month quotas or 3, 3-month quotas.
Please indicate when registering which payment option you have chosen.
The first quota in all cases must be paid no later than 10th October.
If you choose to pay in 2 quotas the 2nd payment must be made between
15th and 25th February. If you choose to pay in 3 quotas the 2nd
payment must be made between 1st and 10th January and the 3rd payment
between 1st and 10th April.
All private classes must be paid for in full before the start date
of the course.
If you choose to pay for private classes per class, payment must
be made before the start of each class. If you sign up for a block
of private class hours payment must be made before the start of
the block of classes.
Methods
of payment:
1. In cash.
2. By bank transfer into our bank account. All bank charges and
interest must be paid by the student. The Lewis School of Languages
will not be responsible for these charges. (please fax us the bank
slip confirming payment).
3. By cheque in Euros from a Spanish bank account.
4. By credit card.5. By direct debit.
Important: All 3 and 4.5 month quotas for courses from October to
June MUST be paid by direct debit.
There is a 10% discount on course fees (excepting registration fees)
for members of the same family attending courses at the same time
or for students studying more than one language at the same time.
This is applicable only to complete 3, 4.5 or 9 month periods and
payment of fees should be made through the same bank account by
direct debit.
Books are not included in the course fees.
Cancellations
Students wishing to cancel a course should notify The Lewis School
of Languages no less than 15 days before the end of the 3-month
or 4.5-month contracted period. Students who cancel during the 3-month,
4.5-month or 9-month contracted period will not be refunded any
course fees or registration fees under any circumstances.
Intensive courses: If a student leaves a course early or cancels
the whole course once the course has started fees will not be refunded
under any circumstances. If a course is cancelled totally or partially
one week or less before the course start date, there will be a charge
of 50% of the course fee for the period cancelled.

SCHOOL
REGULATIONS
The students of The Lewis School of Languages are subject to the
school's rules and regulations.
Timetables
The school reception is open 9.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 - 8 p.m. Monday - Friday
and on Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Class timetables are available between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. Monday
to Friday and on Saturdays between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The classes Punctuality and regular attendance are essential to
the progress of the group as a whole and students are requested
to attend classes regularly and to arrive punctually.
Students who are unable to attend a class should notify the school.
It's strictly forbidden to use cellular phones during the classes.
1 class hour = 50 minutes.
Classes missed by students for any reason cannot be recuperated.
If a group size drops to below the minimum of students required,
The Lewis School of Languages reserves the right to cancel the group
or join 2 groups of a similar level
Minors
When The Lewis School of Languages accepts an enrolment for a minor
(under 18 years old), the parent or guardian of the minor accepts
total responsibility for the behaviour, safety and well-being of
the minor.
If a minor is unable to attend a class for any reason, his/her parent/guardian,
not the minor, should notify the school.The Lewis School of Languages
reserves the right to expel a student if his/her behaviour is preventing
his peers from learning.This measure will be taken only as a last
resort and after making every effort to integrate the student into
the class.
Private
courses
Private classes can start on any day of the week except public holidays.
The timetables available are from Monday to Friday between 7.30
a.m. and 10 p.m. and on Saturdays.
The timetable for private classes is flexible and students can change
or cancel classes as long as they inform the school no less than
24 hours before the scheduled class or, if the class is scheduled
on a Monday, the previous Friday before 2 p.m.
Classes cancelled outwith these times must be paid for in full. A 10% supplement will be added to the private course fee for groups of 5 or more students and 20% for 10 or more students.
Students should note that all changes must be made at the school
reception desk and not through the teacher.
Class or timetabling changes made through the teacher will not be
considered valid.
Intensive
English taught by teachers in training
Payment must be made in full before the start of the course.
Once payment has been made the course fee will not be refunded under
any circumstance.
Please attend classes regularly. If you miss 2 classes without notifying
your tutor your place will automatically be given to another student.
Data
Protection Act
In compliance with the Organic Law 15/1999, 13th December (Ley Orgánica
15/1999, de 13 de diciembre) for the protection of the right to
privacy, your personal details will be registered in a database
owned and used exclusively by The Lewis School of Languages, S.L.
for both internal and commercial purposes. Acceptance of these conditions
implies your consent for said uses. The Lewis School of Languages,
S.L. guarantees that this information will in no case be shared
with sold, or rented to third parties. Students and clients wishing
to opt out or alter their personal details may do so in writing
to email address info@lewis-school.com.
VALIDITY
OF THE CONDITIONS: These conditions come into effect
as of 1st January 2004. |
